Rumor has it that Atlanta might get rain tonight and tomorrow! That calls for a Rain dance. Now all together...........
Yesterday, I left work a tad early and after taking Denny home, I took the PT Cruiser for an oil change and tire rotation. I didn't realize one of my brake lights was out so I got that taken care of also. While sitting in the waiting room I finished a book and watched Fox Financial news. It was certainly interesting because Neil Covuto interviewed lots of people about the economy and stock market. Very enlightening. On the way home, I treated myself with a BBQ sandwich from the Hickory House. I was shocked to find that Chili's has closed at Northlake! I love to eat at Chili's. O'Charley's is still there so I guess that will have to do.
I was so mad at the DeKalb voting registration office because they said they didn't get the application for Jim's absentee ballot. I have the confirmation from when I FAXed it. So, I faxed yet another one. Now we have to wait 2 weeks. If it doesn't come then, Jim will just do Advance voting which begins at our location on Oct 27th. My absentee ballot arrived nearly 2 weeks ago and I am so glad I don't have to wait in line. It is great since the state decreed that one does not have to have a reason for an absentee ballot. That is really a great option for a lot of people.
This morning on The Bull 94.6 country music station the Cletus T. Judd read a commentary by Charlie Daniels (you can find it on his website as well as on The Bull website). It was about the election. It was great in a special Charlie Daniels kind of way. Love that man!
It is so great to read everyone's blog and know how you are going and what your family is up to. What a great communication tool the blog is - Thanks to Jim's Dad - Jim - for coming up with this great idea.
Be Kind, Sue

I thought that was you at the Firestone station. I drove by shrtly after 4:00 on m y way home.
Yeah Chili's has been closed for a year now. Olive Garden across the street closed about 3 years ago. Just not a goot intersection, I guess.
I think you should take a day and ride around Tucker to see what is still there and what has gone by by. There is a new restaurant on Lawrenceville Hwy. called Shorty's that we have eaten at several time that is very good. Their dishes are a bit unusual, but good.
I'm limiting my news coverage because it scares me so much and there is nothing I can do about it.
Love.
Did you realize that absentee ballots do not get counted unless the running is very close? This is a fact that I learned during the last election (since had to vote by absentee) and was reminded of during this election (since I, again, have to vote absentee). Just some food for thought!! Love ya!! :)
Great to hear from you, too!! It's nice to take a couple of hours off from work and get some chores done. It's always nice to be able to do some of those things at times other than weekends when all of creation is trying to get their chores done too!! Talk to you soon. Love ya!!
Yeah, I am always "re-surprised" that Chili's is closed. I seem to forget about that area. Hence, that is probably part of the reason they closed. Hickory House...I'm jealous! I would love a sandwich with a side of Brunswick stew!
I'm glad they fixed your car up.
