It is so good to have our prayers answered with wonderful rain.
Just a note to Katie (see previous blog w/comments), according to the DeKalb Voter Registration an absentee ballot is counts just the same as voting in person and all votes are counted. I can't speak for other states but that's how it works in Georgia. All votes - absentee, advanced or in person have equal weight and are all counted.
My friend Jeri who lives in Huntsville has a darling little 3yr old grandson. A few weeks ago, his Nursery class at church viewed a video about The Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 30-37). After church, his parents asked him what he had learned at church, he told them about the the story of a man who was beaten and robbed. He said a lot of people would not help the poor man..... until The Good American came by and helped him. Out of the mouths of babes....... I love it.
Of course, that reminded me of our precious Eve when she was 3 years old and also in Nursery at church. The children were taught lessons about the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ. Eve was telling me all about it with great enthusiasm. She related how Christ died and arose after 3 days. She was very excited to tell me that "the faires rolled the stone away from the cave." I guess when you are three - angels do look a little like Fairies. Hmmmmm Oh to have the imagination and creativity of a three year old.
Katie, see what fun you have in your future! We will all look forward to all the stories from Maddie.
Oh, I have a story from my family to share (Peggie this was a great idea to share our memories). Hope you haven't heard it already..... It seems that something funny happens at all family funerals and my Daddy's funeral was no exception. Since my nephew Bubba is a Phenix City policeman, he arranged for a patrolman to lead the procession from our home to the cemetary for graveside services. We had barely gotten a block from the house when the policeman realized that he had no idea where he was supposed to be leading us. He stopped the patrol car and started walking back toward the family limo to get directions. However, he forgot to put the car in park. You can imagine all the wringing and pointing hands that faced him as he approached the car. The partrol car was headed for a rather large ditch! Finally, he realized what we were trying to tell him and he turned and ran as fast as he could, jumping into the patrol car just inches from disaster. We thought it was hilarious! We had been so sad and this really changed the mood. Daddy would have loved it and I am sure he was watching from above laughing too.
Be kind, Sue

Now that's funny. Glad to have the stories coming.
Love.
Children say the most precious things! Bubba must have received a lot of banter about the patrol car that day. I bet your right, your Daddy would have loved that almost mishap.
