Here are a few photos (one of which I did not take - guess which one!) from the Towhey Family Christmas gathering. What a great time. Doreen drew my name this year and I just love the furry throw and so does everyone else in my family! What a great gift.
I am eating lunch at my desk (as usual) so that I can blog. Vegetable soup and corn bread is my choice today. Yummy. We are fairly busy here at the ASC and our services are in great demand. That's a good thing. Hardly anyone remembers their anesthesiologist but I don't think the would like to have surgery with one. We are just here making patients happy.
Last evening I attending a visitation at Patterson's Funeral home for one of Denny's classmates. A young man of 42 with severe physical and mental disabilities whose mother is a tireless advocate for the developmentally disabled. It was wonderful to see the outpouring of love from all their friends and family as well as people from the County who oversee the day program at the Services Center.
I also discovered last night that my driver's license expires next month - I had no idea. I rarely look at it - the picture is....... well you know DL photos. Since they can be renewed on-line I set out to do that this morning only to learn that if one is 64 or older you have to go in person for a vision test - BUMMER! Oh, well, I guess that means standing in line on a Saturday but Suzanne tells me she didn't have too long a wait recently so perhaps I will be lucky.
LOST new season began on Wednesday and it was soooooo good. Next week, my good friends Michele, Suzanne and I are having a combination LOST and LIFE on MARS party at Michele's home. (Poor Kevin)
On the Movie Review front, the practically perfect grandchildren and I have seen BOLT, Tales of Desperaux, Bedtime Stories, Hotel for Dogs - We highly recommend each and everyone of them for good fun and terrific stories. The concessions cost as much as the tickets. geeeez I do get extra Regal points for taking the remote into the theatre to report on any problems. That works for me. Last month, Victoria and Michael and I saw the new James Bond movie - LOVED IT! lots of action.
Be kind, Sue

Thanks for taking the kiddos to the movies. They lovely their practically perfect granny.
It is never slow or quiet at our house, especially on the weekends! The photos were all great, considering the subject matter. Looking forward to the new DL photo, it should be quite glamorous...
Victoria and I enjoyed taking you to an "adult" movie. :P
Glad you enjoyed it too.
Great photos! That one of Mike really made me laugh.
April and I joined Fandango. I don't know if that is an option in your area but it must be. They give us coupons and free tickets, so far it has more than paid for itself each month.
Great blog!
I saw Mall Cop this weekend and LOVED it. Really and truly a family movie, funny, sweet, good ending- and Kevin James is absolutely hilarious doing his own stunts.
