Sunday afternoon

After church on Sunday, Jim and I like to have some time together to play Scrabble or read or watch TV. Today, we drove to Buckhead to visit my friend Kathleen who is recovering from a mild heart attack that she had last Sunday morning. We had a good time and are so happy she is doing well and getting lots of needed rest. We thought a storm was headed our way but it took a detour and wet some other part of town so we drove back home in the sunshine.

After a little snack, Jim and I started cleaning out the closet - Jim - first. I still have my side to do and it is getting late so I might have to wait until tomorrow. Jim is finding all sorts of shirts that he forgot he had. I find it hard to get rid of some of them - of course, Denny will get some of them and others will go to the men at Denny's school. There are some very clever t-shirts that I plan (key word PLAN) to make in to a quilt (some day). I have also accumulated some t-shirts to make a quilt for Denny with some of his shirts. It is really fun to remember the occasions where the fun t-shirts were purchased. Jim is much quicker at doing this type of organizing than I am. I could watch him work for a long time.

Saturday morning I made potato salad and deviled eggs and that made for a quick and easy Sunday light meal.

Yesterday, Cathy came to visit and we ate at the Gwinnett Varsity and then did a little shopping. I LOVE VARSITY!

We had a good time gathered together on Saturday evening watching the newest DR. WHO episode. We missed Aaron but he is 15 now and spends more time with his buddies. Not to fear, when the season is released on DVD I will make sure we get it and he can catch up on any he missed.

On Memorial Day, Victoria and I left the children with Jim and Michael and took off for the movies to see ROBIN HOOD and it was terrific! Russell Crows does a great job in the role. The story of ROBIN HOOD has been a favorite of mine since childhood - (I know Victoria is thinking that perhaps I knew him personally when I lived in Sherwood Forest).

Well, I have to clear all the clothes off the bed so we can go to sleep later. Jim did an amazing job with his side of the closet. I hope I do as well.

Be kind, be sweet and keep out of the heat!
Sue
The house is too quiet when the children go home.

I do think Ridley Scott needs to send some royalties your way since you were there to document the story. ;)
