This is certainly one Holiday that I know everyone in our family cherishes because we know of the sacrifice of those brave men and women who have fought and died for our great country. I know we will all pause and reflect on the freedom we have because of those brave souls.
It has been a wonderful week in so many ways. Rachel's school had a very impressive 5th Grade promotion ceremony on Tuesday evening. Thursday Rachel advanced to the next level in Girl Scouts. (see Rachel and Victori's blogs for details and awesome photos) Yesterday was Noah's 9th birthday and tonight Jim and I will give him our gifts (photos later but Victoria has photos on her blog of their celebration - see link on the side)
Jim is getting over his illness and then I started my antibiotic for a sinus infection and that is really going well. So it looks like we both might be full recovered by the holiday. Since we have already seen STAR TREK and WOLVERINE, we are planning to see Night at the Museum this weekend. Think I might pass on Terminator - wasn't impressed with the preview. There are lots of good flicks coming out in the next few months so stay tuned for more reviews.
I want a good hot dog and chips for the holiday! How about you? What will you be doing on Memorial Day? If you have a special event to honor our fallen heros, share it with us.
Be sweet and make your Mama proud,
Sue

Sounds like things have been busy in your neck of the woods. I hope you're both at 100% soon!! Love ya!! :)
Thanks for the thought-provoking blog. I don't know exactly where I fit into the "spirit" of the holiday, but we're spending the weekend with Chris and April. Not because of Chris's noteworthy job, but because it's his birthday weekend!!!
We are so proud to have two firefighters and a member of the US Air Force among us!!!
Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day and remembers those who gave everything for us!!!
Love ya!
P.S. Hope you get your hotdog and chops....you deserve it!!
Good blog. This is a weekend to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many so that we may enjoy our frredom. God bless America.
Love.
Great pictures, you'll have to post some movie reviews too!
I try to go to one of the local services. It is the least I can do to honor these 'old guys' that are still living, as well as the ones who have passed on.
