Happy Easter!

Easter is the most important celebration in Christendom and I hope all of you will have a wonderful worshipful weekend.
One of the doctors I work for gave me an Easter Bunny suit and I gave it to my friend Michele. Tomorrow will be the Easter Egg hunt at her church which is just across the street from our home. Eve and Rachel are spending the weekend with other grandparents but Noah and Aaron are coming over. I doubt either of the boys will want to do to the Easter Egg hunt. Oh well, they do grow up.
The photo of Maddy with the REALLY BIG BUNNY was so cute. Katie already has a world of precious memories and they have just begun! Life is wonderful.
The photo, if you are wondering, is of G.K. Chesterton. My interest in his writing began with my reading biographies of C.S. Lewis. Chesterton was a positive influence on C.S. Lewis and one of the reasons he made the decision to become a Christian. Chesterton was a very talented man with a great sense of humor. Recently I was channel surfing and saw his name on the play list for the EWTN which is the Catholic channel which is next to our BYU channel. The Chesterton Society has a series based on Chesterton with an actor who does a fabulous job. Many of you have seen actors who immerse themselves with the characters they portray, such as Mark Twain, Lewis Grizzard, and many, many more. I make a point to check the channel for other episodes and it is on about once a week or so. I certainly recommend it highly. He was a good debater and some of his debates have been re-inacted on the program. It is interesting to listen to him defend the faith and answer critics. He is inspiring in many ways. He also wrote fiction and poetry. From The Ballard of the White Horse, Chesterton wrote,
"For the Gaels of Ireland
Are the men that God made Mad,
For all their wars are Merry
and all their songs are sad."
I have been thinking about "be kind" my sign off. What I reallly should be saying is "Be Sweet" because that is the Southern way of saying "be kind". It really even says a little more. When my mother or my granny said to "be sweet", I knew that she meant to be kind, to behave, to be respectful and not to do anything that would embarrass the family. Those two words carried quite a message that didn't need to be spelled out.
My word of caution is don't eat too many chocolate covered marshmallow bunnies or Peeps.
Happy Easter! We thank our Heavenly Father for his son Jesus, the Christ, on this Holy Weekend.
Be sweet,
Sue

Happy Easter to you and yours, too!! I think that "be sweet" is a good phrase to live by. Maybe I will start saying that to Maddy now. Eventually she'll understand what it means!! :)

Now we have to figure out which actor will play me in "The Sue Towhey Story". Since John Wayne is gone I'll settle for Brad Pitt, I guess.
The Chesterton series has been good, you really do find the best stuff for us. Happy Easter to you too, sweety...

Uggghhhhh. I've already eaten too many Peeps! April left me on my honor with a basket full of candy. Apparently I'm not to be trusted!
