Beautiful Day

It is just a couple of week until graduation for our Emory Students. It is alway a grand affair with the Atlanta Pipe Band and John Mohr McInTosh Band leading the procession. That has been an Emory Tradition for many, many years. It is very elegant with all the faculty in caps and gowns. The former president of Mexico, V. Fox will be the speaker.

Today was so lovely I walked out on the campus down to the Emory Rehab Center where my friend Donna was having physical therapy for her stroke. We have lunch once a week when she is having treatments, as I have mentioned before. It is great to see her progress. We have such a good time looking at photos of our families and talking about the good old days when we would sit out on our front porch and just talk. She was a good next door neighbor.

Jim is hoping to get to the store this weekend to buy insulation for the attic. Last week he really did a great job on the yard. It had so many small limbs everywhere and now it looks great. I did see signs that the Lantana bushes are having little green shoots poping up so before long they will be hugh and taking over the front yard. I love them - they are memories of my parents yard from time gone by.

Masterpiece Theatre on Public TV has been excellent with a production of Charles Dickens' Little Dorrit and next week will begin The Olde Curiosity Shoppe. Charles Dickens is one of very favorite authors, along with Jane Austin, of course.

Be sweet,

Sue

The drive down to Emory is so gorgeous in the spring. I love how you keep writing about different flowers and shrubs. Haven't thought about Lantana in years, but it's another favorite.
